Join Chris Yovanovich on a magical journey of new self-discovery through the healing art of music and yoga! Chris has been writing and performing music for the past 30 years and has taught the art of yoga through physical movement, breathwork, and Ayurvedic principles for the past 15 years. She has certified over 180 yoga teachers in the state of Indiana and continues to share her knowledge with her students today. Experience the healing aspects of subtle energy through movement and sound through Chris' creative yoga classes and/or musical events.

About Chris Yovanovich

Music + Yoga

Chris Yovanovich is a passionate and committed musician and yoga instructor who founded Indiana Yoga Studio in 2016.  She loves sharing the healing aspects of music and yoga and can be found performing music and teaching yoga in and around the Indy area. 

Chris plays originals and covers from Classical to Country.  Her music genres are eclectic and can be tailored for any special event. Download her free album and get in touch with any comments or questions.  More downloadable music coming soon!

Chris is currently teaching yoga at Christian Theological Seminary,  Witham's Wellness Center and at KloozBrewz in Lebanon.  She is also open for private classes.

Chris' Classes

 

 

 

 

Mondays | Restorative/Yin Infusion | 6:00-7:00 p.m.

This class is focused on those needing therapeutic attention for generalized stress and anxiety, lower back issues, auto-immune disorders and generalized pain. Attention is given to the stimulation of the lymphatic/endocrine systems and Vagus nerve which is the main nerves of your parasympathetic nervous system. Homeostasis is achieved through breathing techniques, gentle twists, back bends, and gentle massage. Great for all levels!

 

Fridays |  Gentle Flow | 12:30-1:30 p.m.

Find ease through gentle slow movements, breath work, stretching and relaxation. Great for all levels.!

Beginning January 10, 2023

Mitzi has a passion for teaching yoga and mindfulness. She completed her yoga teacher certidfication in 2020 at the Indiana Yoga Studio under the training of Chris Yovanovich. She has since received certifications in restorative yoga, yin yoga and kids yoga. She enjoys sharing the love of yoga and kids through Silly Hearts Yoga and provides yoga opportunities in her first grade classroom. She is currently enrolled in a Mindfulness and Meditation Teacher Certification course. She has been practicing yoga for about ten years and has gained a sense of calm through breathing techniques, positive affirmations, and self-care. Evolving physically, mentally and spiritually thorugh yoga is what ignites her practice and she invites her students to find the same sense of calm in their mind, body and spirit. 

Tuesdays | Gentle Yoga | 6:00-7:00 p.m. 

Find ease through gentle slow movements, breath work, stretching and relaxation. Great for all levels.!

 

Thursdays | Yin Yoga | 6:00-7:00 p.m.

Allow the muscles to relax and release the contractions held in the connective tissues through passive stretches while focusing on breath work and positive affirmations. Great for all levels! 

 

Saturdays | Gentle Yoga | 10:00-11:00 a.m. 

Find ease through gentle slow movements, breath work, stretching and relaxation. Great for all levels.!
